About The Position

This is an exciting job opportunity for a Fabrication/Model Maker Technician in Peachtree City, GA, with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting. The role involves supporting engineering in creating functional prototypes and models for new product development, maintaining production goals using various shop equipment, and continuously growing talents and capabilities to include set up, operation, and maintenance of all shop equipment. The technician will work closely with the Lead/Scheduler communicating issues, problem-solving, and assisting with project completion. Additionally, they will perform machine maintenance resulting in minimum downtime and maximum safety and productivity.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience in assembly, model making, fabrication, construction, or similar trade utilizing measuring and cutting equipment
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and geometry/algebra
• High aptitude for learning
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience reading blueprints and/or CAD drawings is preferred
