About The Position

Fit and assemble tanks, pipes, and heat exchangers. This role involves laying out and preparing components for tanks, heat exchanger assembly, and pipe spooling. The Fabrication Metalworker will work off blueprints to fit up tanks, heat exchangers, and pipe spooling, and may direct the activities of Welders, Assistant Fabrication Metalworkers, and Helpers. Hydrotesting may also be required when specified. Non-essential duties include marking and preparing units for shipping, and cleaning and deburring.

Requirements

Application must be filled out completely by the Applicant.
Meet all of the Required Essential Job Skills/Experience.
Must be able to work any shift.
Work overtime when required.
Willing to comply with company rules and policies.
Pass pre-employment drug screen.
At least 3 years of experience pipe and plate fitting, preferably with stainless steel.
Must be able to read blueprints and specifications.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and up to 100 lbs. rarely.
Accurately read tape measure to 1/16”.
Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

Ability to operate shear, press brake, drills, and grinders.

Responsibilities

Directing activities of Welders, Assistant Fabrication Metalworkers and Helpers who may be assisting.
When specified, hydrotest.
Mark and prepare units for shipping.
Clean and deburr.
