About The Position

The ADP team is looking for a Stf Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Palmdale, CA! This role involves leading small teams to ensure production needs are met and discrete deliverables are completed ahead of need. The engineer will conduct critical design reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop assembly plans and innovative solutions to address daily challenges. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining detailed manufacturing products and documentation, providing direct support on the production floor, and utilizing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to develop manufacturing processes. The role also requires interpreting drawings and model-based designs for manufacturability and collaborating with team members on out-of-the-box thinking and product improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing shop floor environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including design engineering and systems engineering, build team, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance
  • Experience with Composite Fabrication including layup, bonding, and machining
  • Experience with engineering blueprints, specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Must have demonstrated effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to successfully work with other team members including Operations, Production Control, Quality Assurance, IT, Planning and Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop preventative action plan to limit failures in the future.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve logistical issues and lead efforts to drive mission success.
  • Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years - required to apply and the ability to obtain and maintain special program access prior to start.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree STEM Degree with 7 years+ work experience
  • Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
  • Experience supporting various projects and coordinating activities related to the full life cycle of projects from conception to delivery
  • Experience working with suppliers in an aircraft modification and manufacturing environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain special program access.
