About The Position

The ADP team is looking for a Sr. Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Palmdale, CA! This role involves leading small teams to ensure production needs are met and discrete deliverables are completed ahead of need. The engineer will conduct critical design reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop assembly plans and innovative solutions to address daily challenges. They will also create and maintain detailed manufacturing products and documentation, provide direct support on the production floor, and utilize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to develop manufacturing processes. Interpreting drawings and model-based designs to ensure manufacturability for the production environment is a key aspect, as is collaborating with team members on out-of-the-box thinking and product improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance &/or production operations.
Experience with some combination of the following: experience with manufacturing processes and procedures including: composite fabrication, structural assembly, machining, bonded assemblies &/or installations.
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance after offer acceptance and willing to stay in current role/employment throughout the clearance processing period.
Candidate must have a full secret clearance prior to start.
Ability to obtain special program access within 3 months of start date with LM.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree
Previous experience with lean manufacturing and process improvements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related technical field with 5+ years experience
Experience with composite part and assembly manufacturing process.
Experience with MRP system or SAP or other Manufacturing Execution System (MES) application
Experience with shop floor setup and optimization.
Experience with various PLM systems including SAP, iBase-t (Solumina), Teamcenter, and/or SFM
Experience with CATIA or other related CAD software.
Experience supporting various projects and coordinating activities related to the full life cycle of projects from conception to delivery
Working knowledge of one or more organizations including: Operations, IT, Planning, Production Control, ERP, MRP, Quality or systems integration.
Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop preventative action plan to limit failures in the future.
Demonstrated ability to solve logistical issues and lead efforts to drive mission success.
Demonstrated understanding of engineering blueprints, process specifications and manufacturing planning.
Previous experience incorporating model based engineering into manufacturing plans.

Collaborate with team members to explore out-of-the-box thinking and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
