About The Position

GBI in Plymouth, UT is seeking a skilled Fabrication Machinist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued growth and success within the Oil & Energy industry.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Fabrication Machinist or similar role in the oil and energy industry or heavy industrial fabrication.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Strong knowledge of CNC machinery operation, programming, and manual machining techniques.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Ability to adhere to strict safety standards and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain machining equipment to fabricate high-quality metal parts and components according to specified blueprints and technical drawings.
Set up machines including CNC and manual machinists tools to perform tasks such as drilling, cutting, and shaping metal materials.
Inspect finished parts for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
Collaborate closely with the fabrication team and engineering to optimize processes and resolve machining issues.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and perform routine preventative maintenance on machining tools.
Document production activities and report progress, issues, and recommendations to supervisors.
