CNC Fabrication Machinist - Evening Shift

About The Position

At Hilti, our manufacturing team keeps everything moving. The CNC Fabrication Machinist supports the day-to-day operations in Hilti’s Engineering Service Center (ESC) with the manufacturing and assembly of standard and custom customer orders. Duties include set up and operating horizontal bandsaw and industrial equipment to cut threaded rod, strut and other materials to customer and internal quality specifications. The machine operator performs required quality and maintenance checks and minor/routine equipment maintenance and repairs as needed. Assists with assembly and prefabrication of product for customer orders. This role has a working understanding of all internal production processes and trains new team members as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic, read and convert between decimals and fractions, and use basic calculator.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, required.
  • Forklift certification required (will provide training once hired, if needed).
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and remain authorized for the duration of employment without the need for sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of CNC experience, preferred.
  • SAP experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow standard processes to build and produce standard and custom products to defined specifications in production paperwork and project documentation
  • Perform product modifications and product packaging to Project Business Logistics (PBL) specifications.
  • Execute defined quality and maintenance checks and participate in equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Train new team members on safe and proper equipment operation and maintenance processes.
  • Use SAP to execute inventory transactions and process production orders.
  • Material handling tasks associated with working in a production-type environment.
  • Package and stage completed product for shipment.
  • Support team lead and supervisor in planning of work and production on their shift.
  • Maintain active equipment spare parts inventory.
