About The Position

Goldbug Manufacturing is seeking a Fabrication Machinery Operator to produce high-precision parts using CNC-based fabrication equipment, including waterjets, laser cutters, tube lasers, and press brakes. The role involves operating and calibrating fabrication machinery, handling raw materials and processed parts, interpreting mechanical drawings, and inspecting finished parts for accuracy. The ideal candidate has fabrication machinery experience and can work with measurements and precision inspection tools.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• At least one year of experience operating fabrication machinery, such as a waterjet, laser cutter, tube laser, or press brake.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints.
• Strong math skills for working with measurements and dimensions during fabrication.
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers for precision inspections.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of operating fabrication machinery and loading and unloading materials.

Nice To Haves

• Basic familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
• Experience operating forklifts or hoists to move materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC-based fabrication machinery to transform raw materials into high-precision parts.
• Calibrate machines to ensure equipment produces parts accurately.
• Optimize nesting layouts to use materials efficiently and reduce waste.
• Load raw materials into fabrication equipment and unload parts after processing.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints to understand part dimensions and fabrication requirements.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers and micrometers and verify accuracy against specifications.
