About The Position

Prime Conduit, Inc. is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Fabrication Operator (B-Operator) in their manufacturing facility in Woodland. This role is integral to the operation of equipment and creation of quality conduit products that serve various industries. Prime Conduit, Inc. is renowned for producing a range of conduit products such as Schedule 40 and 80 Electrical Conduit, P&C Duct, Split Duct, Multi-Gard, Bore-Gard, PV Mold, Intra-Gard, Telephone Duct, and Conduit Elbows & Fittings. The Fabrication Operator (B-Operator) is responsible for operating the pipe bending equipment in their dynamic manufacturing facility. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth production of their durable and reliable conduit products. Your expertise will drive their mission to exceed industry standards through effective and efficient production processes. This is a full-time, night shift position (7pm to 7am) with 12-hour shifts, where employees are not scheduled for more than three consecutive days of work. The pay structure includes a starting rate of $24.16/hr, increasing to $26.24/hr after 6 weeks, and $29.13/hr after 90 days. The role offers full benefits and PTO hours.

  • Must be able to read, speak and understand verbal and written direction in English for safety purposes.
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and rules.
  • Ability to safely operate Forklift and able to obtain and maintain Forklift License.
  • Must wear and maintain in good condition required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, reach, lift, push, pull or carry weight up to fifty (50) pounds for prolonged periods of time during assigned work shift.
  • Manual dexterity as needed to operate machinery and equipment and complete assigned tasks.
  • Visual and audible acuity to respond and determine discrepancies in tools and equipment and perform assignments.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, moving mechanical parts and vibrations associated with plant operations.
  • Must have physical ability and dexterity, coordination and stamina to perform required job duties.
  • High School and/or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up assigned machine for production runs from cold start and perform changeovers as required.
  • Review and comply with instructions for assigned equipment to be operated.
  • Check QA Record sheets to be sure which product is being run.
  • Check dimensions, appearance and angles utilizing rulers and measuring tapes.
  • Make required entries on the QA Record.
  • Package finished product in accordance with the QA Record.
  • Make sure proper housekeeping is conducted and that work area is clean and orderly.
  • Assist in the repair of broken or defective equipment as needed.
