About The Position

This position reports to the Production Supervisor. The work model for the role is Onsite in Mebane, NC. The role involves performing routine machinery set-up, adjustments, and repairing and fitting simple replacement parts. It also includes ensuring regular standard maintenance of the equipment, tools set-up, programming activities, and troubleshooting and reporting issues. Maintaining detailed records of machinery set-ups, repairs, and maintenance activities is also a key part of the role. The operator will keep track of approved, defective units, and final products, and execute assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB Standard processes and safety guidelines, reporting any non-compliance. The operator will operate machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions, and maintain a safe working attitude and environment while performing daily activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs
• Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
