About The Position

The Fabrication Machine Operator performs routine machinery setup and adjustments, repairs and fits simple replacement parts, and completes standard equipment maintenance. The role includes equipment setup, programming activities, troubleshooting and reporting issues, and maintaining detailed records of setups, repairs, and maintenance. The operator tracks approved and defective units and finished products, follows assigned workflows, ABB processes, safety guidelines, operating manuals, work schedules, and production orders, and reports non-compliance. The position is onsite in Mebane, North Carolina, and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge and use of tools such as tape measures, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
• Must already have work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the United States.

• At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct standard equipment maintenance, equipment and tool setup, programming activities, troubleshooting, and reporting of issues.
• Maintain detailed records of machinery setups, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Keep track of approved and defective units and final products.
• Complete assigned tasks according to agreed workflows, ABB standard processes, and safety guidelines, and report non-compliance.
• Operate machines in accordance with operating manuals, work schedules, and production order instructions.
• Maintain a safe working attitude and environment while performing daily activities.
