The Fabrication Machine Operator performs fabrication duties under the general direction of the Shift Facilitator and with direction from the Team Captain. The role is an entry-level position; no prior experience is required, and training is provided to the right individuals. The operator works the third shift, Monday through Thursday, for 40 or more hours, with Friday work potentially scheduled as needed. Compensation starts at $18.63 per hour, with the ability to earn more, plus a $1.00 shift premium. The employee operates general, saw, and CNC machines; maintains accurate records; handles material preparation, shipping, and follow-up for outside processing; and packs and ships finished material. The operator also supports coworkers and special projects, reports equipment or other problems, follows safety procedures and PPE requirements, and maintains a clean workstation. The position requires collaboration and responsiveness to feedback to ensure bundles meet safety standards. The role regularly involves standing, walking, handling tools or controls, reaching, talking and hearing, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. Employees occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. Work takes place near moving mechanical parts in a usually loud environment without air conditioning. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, must pass a skills-based test, company background check, and drug screen, and should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to read and interpret instructions and solve practical problems.
