About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to assemble high-quality finished products using tools, machinery, and manual techniques. The ideal candidate will interpret blueprints, operate fabrication equipment, and ensure products meet exact specifications through rigorous inspection and testing. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality. Skyline Windows is a fourth-generation family owned and operated business. We are best known for designing, manufacturing, and installing custom windows, window wall systems, and terrace doors. All our products are made to order based on our clients’ project specifications. From landmarks to new construction, high end residential to high volume commercial, we do it all!

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding, machining, or fabrication preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years in fabrication, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with fabrication tools (e.g., saws, grinders, drills) and machinery. Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments (tape measures, calipers). Basic welding/machining skills (TIG, MIG, or ARC welding certifications a plus).
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and teamwork. Time management to meet production deadlines.
  • Physical Requirements: Lift to 75 lbs.; stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precise work.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: Osha General Industry Health and Safety, forklift license, or welding certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to execute accurate fabrication.
  • Material Preparation: Measure, mark, cut, bend, and shape raw materials (metal, plastic, composites) using hand/power tools.
  • Assembly: Join components through welding, bolting, riveting, or adhesives to construct finished products.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test products for defects; verify compliance with specifications using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers).
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tools/machinery to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineers, designers, and team members to resolve design challenges and improve processes.
  • Documentation: Record production data, deviations, and inspection results accurately.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend efficiency enhancements in fabrication techniques or workflows
