About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting shop fabrication operations by assisting with the preparation, assembly, and finishing of materials and components. The role ensures a clean, organized, and safe work environment while meeting production schedules and quality standards. Century Fire Protection is a large and successful full-service fire protection company based in the Southeast, specializing in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of all types of fire protection systems across various commercial markets. Headquartered in Duluth, GA, Century Fire operates more than 20 offices across seven states.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read basic measurements and follow instructions
• Basic computer skills, email

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with the fabrication and assembly of materials, components, and products according to specifications.
• Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products within the shop.
• Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment under supervision.
• Perform measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, and deburring as needed.
• Support skilled fabricators and welders with setup and material staging.
• Inspect materials for defects and report quality or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
• Follow work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions accurately.
