About The Position

This position will provide electrical design and BIM coordination for a wide range of projects with a focus on fabrication design for Baer Manufacturing production. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required. This role interacts with various departments within the company as well as with other disciplines outside of the company.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with trade experience or two (2) year degree in Electrical Design, or related field. Or any similar combination of education and experience.
  • 0-2+ years of relevant electrical design and modeling experience.
  • Foundational understanding of Revit or interest in learning modeling tools (e.g., Revit, Inventor).
  • Basic familiarity with construction documents (plans, schedules, markups).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn technical concepts.
  • Effective communicator and team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with BIM 360 and clash detection processes.
  • Understanding of electrical design concepts, codes, and standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation of model sheets and basic views in Revit.
  • Follow directions to develop model content for small scopes of work.
  • Support the team in organizing and managing project documentation.
  • Perform basic detailing tasks under the guidance of more experienced designers.
  • Read and interpret one-line diagrams, construction prints, schedules, and markups.
  • Reference submittments and feeder schedules to inform design decisions.
  • Contribute to layout reviews with a growing understanding of constructability.
  • Apply basic knowledge of Revit to assist in model development.
  • Work with parameters and schedules at a fundamental level.
  • Pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in modeling and documentation.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and absorb feedback from the team.
  • Support clash resolution processes under direction from senior staff.
  • Use basic coordination software tools to stay involved in project workflows.
  • Demonstrate strong time and task management skills.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Take direction well and remain open to feedback and learning.
  • Show accountability, curiosity, and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Build interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability in a collaborative team setting.
