About The Position

Plans work and layout, sets up and fabricates a wide variety of intricate, experimental and/or production parts from raw and finished powders. Includes operating numerous presses and using other hand tools. Works with and interprets standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, formulas, sketches, verbal and electronic orders, job layouts, etc. to accomplish assigned work. Checks and inspects operations against specified tolerances.

Requirements

• Fully proficient job knowledge/skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Office products and data entry
• Mechanical experience background
• Forklift operating experience
• Good writing and communications skills
• Basic math skills

Responsibilities

• Use basic hand tools and fixturing
• Use PPE for appropriate protection
• Lift at least 30 pounds
• Read and understand technical drawings and shop orders
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Press parts to a given size and density
• Install specified tooling and set job up to specifications
• Maintain the forming tooling inventory
• Ensure that the tooling list is accurate and that all forming tools are maintained in usable condition
• Keep an accurate completion of required documentation involved in the forming of parts, travelers, logs, process control data etc.
• Housekeeping
• Preventive maintenance
• Easily trained, work well with engineering and supervisor
