About The Position

At Mission Design & Automation, we attribute our success to the strength of our team and our ability to be agile and adaptive to new market demands. To build on this team, we are searching for a Fabrication Assistant. This role will report to Fabrication and Machining team leads and work with other team members to perform saw operations and light assembly tasks. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of mechanical drawings, proper use of measurement tools, saw cut equipment, and the ability to assemble extrusion assemblies to print.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certification (Vocational education preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Demonstrated competency in operating sawcut and related machinery
• Ability to keep steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and climbing into and beneath machines
• Work as part of a team or independently with direction from FAB/CNC team leads
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. as required
• Ability to obtain Hi-Lo and Aerial Platform and Overhead Crane License

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sawcut machines and associated equipment (band saw, chop saw, abrasive saw, belt sanders, etc.)
• Sort, organize and stage sawcut materials for CNC operations
• Cut, kit, and or assemble aluminum extrusion assemblies to print
• Operate company transit van as needed
