About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fabrication Assistant to support our production team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for moving, preparing, and verifying metal materials while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 months of related experience preferred
  • Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, measurements)
  • Familiarity with measuring tools (tape measures, precision tools)
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions
  • Experience with hand tools and air-powered tools
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate fabrication equipment
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per shift
  • Frequent use of hands for handling, gripping, and reaching
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Strong attention to visual detail (close, peripheral, and depth vision)
  • Pre-employment physical, drug-screening and background investigation
  • E-Verify

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
  • Transport materials from storage areas to workstations
  • Hammer and chip metal work-pieces from sheets
  • Grind and sand metal components to remove imperfections
  • Identify, tag, and stage work-pieces on appropriate carts
  • Verify that materials meet specifications and quality standards
  • Collaborate with supervisors to resolve fabrication issues
  • Safely operate equipment, including: Hoists, Lift tables, Forklifts (company certification required)
  • Handle machinery and materials with care and attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Regular, reliable attendance is essential
  • Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
