About The Position

The Fabrication Assistant Superintendent oversees the efficiency of monitoring production, scanning the make sheet, and discussing daily goals with Supervisors. This role reports to the Fabrication Office for the order sheet (make sheet), attends supervisor meetings, and reports the work schedule to supervisors daily. The Assistant Superintendent directs supervisors regarding production volume, quality, cost, and meeting production schedules and delivery dates. They handle employee grievances, disputes, or problems in the most efficient manner possible, escalating any unsolved matters to Human Resources. The position actively participates in group meetings, line meetings, and supervisory meetings, and works with the Quality Control department to ensure product quality and food safety. Additionally, they train and develop supervisors to provide management depth and foster teamwork to attain department objectives. The role also monitors and confirms that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized, and maintains good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions. This position involves contact with line personnel and plant management.

Responsibilities

  • Contact with line personnel, in addition to plant management.
