Fabrication Assembler
About The Position
Use hand tools to assemble fabricated parts and perform basic operations on manufacturing equipment/machines. This role involves performing various tasks including using hand tools to assemble fabricated parts at floor stations, performing basic operations on standard manufacturing machinery, and product packaging. The assembler will also test and calibrate assembled mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications, adhere to the calibration schedule for all tools, and be aware of all Quality requirements. Following Work Instructions and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines is crucial, as is identifying and reporting any documentation errors to the Line Leader. Ensuring all safety and security rules are strictly observed and promptly reporting accidents, incidents, or injuries to management is also a key responsibility. The role requires completing annual CTPAT Security Training, focusing on continuous improvement, and demonstrating good business judgment. Effective collaboration with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations is expected, along with assisting with the organization and cleaning of the work area, ensuring aisles and walkways remain clear.
Requirements
- Must be a team player, friendly, detail-oriented, and honest
- Must have the ability to safely operate heavy equipment that is known to interfere with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators and other electrical medical implants
- Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
- Be cross-trained for multiple jobs within assigned work area(s)
- Work under general supervision and direction from leadership team
- Safely use hand tools and standard power tools
- Operate machines safely with minimal supervision
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Use a hydraulic lift, hand tools, standard power tools, measuring tools, small table lifting device and electronic testing equipment
- Read and comprehend work instructions
- Push/Pull/Lift 50 lbs.
- Stand/Bend/Kneel
- Must have relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
- A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience using hand or power tools to assemble parts or product preferred
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience operating machinery preferred
- Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
- High School Diploma or GED preferred

- Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
- Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
- Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times
