About The Position

The Fabrication Account Manager serves as the primary contact for assigned accounts and manages Outside Processing (OOP) from project award through completion. The role oversees customer relationships, order management, forecasting, scheduling, inventory and supply chain coordination, quality, and customer service. The manager handles multiple projects while ensuring schedules, quality standards, and company policies are met, and collaborates with internal and external customers to support Kloeckner Metals’ vision and mission. The position plans, develops, implements, and evaluates processes for on-time material delivery from supplier to customer, including analyzing customer forecasts and managing supplier schedules.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field and/or 5–7 years of relevant experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret business reports and data.
Proficiency in business math, statistics, algebra, and basic geometry.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret written, verbal, diagram, and schedule instructions.
Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, inventory and order-processing systems, email, and internet applications.
Ability to identify and resolve problems, gather and analyze information, develop alternative solutions, and participate in group problem solving.
Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer and employee situations, respond promptly to customer and departmental needs, solicit feedback, respond to service requests, and meet commitments.
Clear and persuasive communication, attentive listening, ability to clarify and respond to questions, presentation skills, and ability to participate in and lead meetings.
Ability to complete managerial tasks correctly and on time and support organizational goals and values.

Responsibilities

Process timely and accurate purchase orders in accordance with customer needs.
Monitor the integrity of bills of material (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy.
Maintain pricing verification and updates.
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of end-user applications for assigned accounts.
Manage aged inventory.
Prepare monthly reports on account status.
Communicate the progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
Advise management of challenging customer requests and escalate issues as needed.
Ensure efficient and economical performance in relation to profit and year-end goals.
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes for on-time material delivery from supplier to customer, including analyzing customer forecasts and managing supplier schedules.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
