About The Position

This role is responsible for manufacturing micro-optical devices and similar products using semiconductor related wafer fabrication processes. The technician will perform various tasks including photolithography, plasma etching, wet etching, metrology, dicing, and optical inspection. They will also be responsible for in-line quality assurance, supporting continuous improvement, and managing outsourced value creation process steps. A strong emphasis is placed on safety compliance, cleanroom protocols, and meeting daily productivity and quality goals. Accurate documentation and data entry are crucial.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Driven for excellence.
  • Demonstrate excellent workmanship.
  • Good dexterity for handling high value, very fragile wafers, and optical components.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Qualified U.S. worker.
  • PC proficient with standard computer software tools (WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT).
  • Must be detail-oriented and capable of working effectively in a team environment.

  • Associate’s degree or higher-level education.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing micro-optical devices and similar products using semiconductor related wafer fabrication processes, including photolithography, plasma etching, wet etching, metrology, dicing, and optical inspection.
  • Performing in-line quality assurance processes and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Supporting critical outsourced value creation process steps in production flow.
  • Understanding and complying with all company safety policies and procedures, including safe operation of equipment, handling of chemicals, and wearing protective equipment.
  • Demonstrating proper cleanroom protocol.
  • Supporting daily productivity and quality goals by completing assigned tasks within acceptable limits of quality, quantity, and timeliness.
  • Ensuring all pertinent documentation is recorded accurately and legibly.
  • Performing accurate data entry in JOSH.
  • Performing setup, qualification, and operation of equipment and processes in accordance with operating specifications.
  • Monitoring tool and production processes and notifying engineering immediately when problems arise.
  • Becoming certified on at least one tool set and associated inspection and metrology tools.
  • Communicating effectively with peers, engineers, and managers.
  • Meeting normal attendance requirements, including accurate timekeeping, timely reporting of absences, and working overtime as required.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
