About The Position

Hayward Holdings Inc. is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment in the world, with a significant presence in the commercial pool market that is continuously growing. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. This position operates a wide variety of machinery such as Brake Press, Spot Welders, Punch Press, and other similar equipment to fabricate sheet metal according to production demands & specifications.

Requirements

  • One to two years related manufacturing fabrication experience in sheet metal required
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to identify issues and offer solutions
  • Ability to read/interpret prints and measuring tools
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to meet production demands and needs
  • Satisfactory teamwork and communication; the ability to work effectively with others and have clear/concise communication

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and follow blueprints and use measuring tools for designed machine operation
  • Set up, operate, and maintain all machinery ensuring it is in good working order
  • Set up machines according to the specifications of the task
  • Monitor machines while they execute the tasks and make necessary adjustments to produce a better result
  • Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools
  • Report any malfunctions or defects to the team leader or supervisor immediately
  • Meets production to attain daily rates
  • Supports shift leader and able to provide direction and train other team members
  • Will be required to work at various workstations, depending on production needs
  • Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they adhere to production needs which meet print specifications
  • Actively participates in OCP and submits 1 plus cards per month
  • Identify and eliminate process waste
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment per 6S Program
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Assist co-workers in being safe by correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors when seen
  • Manages personal attendance in accordance with Attendance Policy
  • Demonstrates interest in mentoring others and improving their job skills and experience
  • Works with minimal supervision, assisting others
