FAB Machine Operator - WKND Shift
About The Position
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a FAB Machine Operator - WKND Shift. This position is based at our Arden, NC location. The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The essential function of the FAB Machine Operator is to perform technical fabrication operations on raw materials throughout the Fabrication Department using metal processing machinery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution
- Basic Computer skills – Microsoft Office(Word), Internet, etc.

- Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
- Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance
- Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
- Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
Nice To Haves
- Machining Certificate
- Previous experience in Fabrication
- DMM experience
- Able to read calipers, protractors and tape measures
- Able to read blueprints
Responsibilities
- Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations
- Understand / Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor
- Perform initial set-up for operation on PLC, Analog, or Manual controlled machines
- Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts
- Interpret work orders including written, Kanban cards, and drawings
- Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation
- Inspect final component against work specifications
- Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment
- Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders to maintain equipment
- Provide on-the-job training for new Operators
- Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily
- Complete any other assigned tasks from management or leads
