About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a FAA Repair Technician - 1st Shift to join our team in Glenolden, PA! The hours for this role are 6:00am-3:00pm. The Repairs Technician is responsible for maintenance functions of Repair Station and Customer Returns department. This position will train to become a FAA certified repairman. Position requires compliance with customer specifications, manufacturer specifications, and applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFR’s). This position will inspect to proper technical techniques on articles of which they are certified.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 6 months of assembly, mechanical or electrical experience.
  • Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reading and interpret engineering drawings and prints.
  • Working Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques.
  • Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills to effectively perform its essential functions.
  • Basic computer skills to perform its essential functions.

Responsibilities

  • Be knowledgeable of FAA Repair Station regulatory requirements, including product evaluation, repair and release protocols as per the Glenolden Repair Station Manual.
  • Perform inspection methods to validate product/component characteristics per print/drawing requirements using various inspection tools.
  • Perform product acceptance inspections.
  • Record failure analysis results in various software programs.
  • Perform initial evaluation of field returns noting physical, electrical, and mechanical compliance to product standards.
  • Perform calibration and acceptance test procedures using latest revision supplement sheets, calibration data sheets, procedures, and routings to ensure compliance.
  • Order and monitor materials or parts to successfully perform the required article maintenance.
  • Ensure that Measuring and Test Equipment are used when applicable and are properly maintained and calibrated before use.
  • Expedite and monitor work performed on repairs through manufacturing work cells to ensure that all contractual obligations to customer are fulfilled in the committed cycle time.
  • Complete the necessary maintenance entries for the maintenance, which they performed, or is responsible for.
  • Have the appropriate training to use all state of the art electrical and mechanical test equipment used in their area of responsibility.
  • Interface with Manufacturing Engineering as required, to successfully analyze and repair manufactured product.
  • Demonstrate strong competencies with the inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools and equipment used within their assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ensure that the inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids, used to perform inspections are in proper working order and the proper calibration information is affixed.
  • Ensure all inspections are properly performed and recorded, and all records are properly executed before final approval for return to service of articles maintained or altered by this repair station.
