The FA Engineer will be responsible for developing and improving the testing and failure analysis process of each defective good that needs to have a functional test done in the Service Center. This includes processing RMA parts from the Distribution Center and other parts from the internal MRB process. The FA Engineer also advises on requirements to support the Test Engineering team in building testing capability for different parts, modules, and assemblies. Additionally, the FA Engineer is responsible for educating system technicians on all related testing and the FA process, creating functional part failure reports, supplying root cause analysis with the QA MRB team, and monitoring the quantity of tested parts and failure rates. They will also check KPIs like SNR (2nd Return) and NTF (No Trouble Found) and advise on improvement actions. During new product introductions, the FA Engineer collaborates with QA and PE teams to identify parts needing functional test and FA analysis, and helps set up test specifications and requirements. They work with the Quality MRB group to process RMA and MRB units according to internal and customer/vendor requirements. The FA Engineer is expected to cooperate with all departments within the Facility and act as a proactive team member, taking a lead role in testing and failure analysis issues. They are also responsible for creating test instructions, SOPs, and process documentation, and working with the QA team to create FA reports for RMA parts.
