About The Position

This highly visible role within the F135 Sustainment Program Management Office (SPMO) is responsible for Integrated Product Team, driving long‑term cost reduction, and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) optimization for the F135 program. The Sustainment Affordability Associate Director will identify, examine, and evaluate sustainment cost data sources to establish modeling approaches that accurately represent engine life costs. Also work with business stakeholders to understand business requirements, deliver modeling solutions, reports, and dashboards that provide value to the business.

Requirements

BS/BA in Engineering, Business or related field is required.
A minimum of 12+ years’ experience in logistics support, supply, procurement, proposal development, or program/project management is required.
At least 5 years of managerial, supervisory and leadership skills required.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead the team responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining a sustainment program‑of‑record cost forecast for the F135 sustainment program, along with a strategic sustainment affordability roadmap and an execution plan to deliver affordable F135 sustainment.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support integration of the F135 program cost model, including delivery of required CDRLs and reconciliation activities used to inform program budgets.
Work cross‑functionally to establish and track key sustainment affordability metrics and targets aligned with internal and external program objectives.
Oversee the identification, funding, and execution of key sustainment affordability projects.
Oversee depot module cost performance, identify gaps, and execute corrective actions to meet cost reduction targets across overhaul and sustainment operations.
Lead the Affordability integrated product team across engineering, operation, production, and sustainment to ensure coordinated affordability actions and enterprise alignment.
Develop and standardize cost models and methodologies (LCC, ECU, production, sustainment), ensuring government‑aligned practices and consistency in cost evaluation.
Drive digital affordability transformation by defining capability needs and partnering with analytics teams to implement advanced cost‑tracking, forecasting, and performance‑management tools.
