About The Position

This role will be in Dayton, Ohio with work performed onsite at the F35 Lightening Sustainment Center (LSC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. The Hardware CSE plays a key role in providing technical and sustainment support for engine hardware by interfacing with the customer, program office, Field Service Engineer/Representative, and engineering organization in support of our warfighter.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field required with a minimum of 5+ years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum of 3+ years’ experience.
  • Experience to include: working to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on work area, contributing to the development of goals of discipline and planning efforts, managing moderately sized projects or processes with moderate impact on the achievement of discipline results, performing work with minimal oversight, coaching and reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals, providing measurable input for new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement business strategies (problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem. Problems typically impact multiple departments or specialties and solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues), ability to communicate with both Military and PW leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization, working to influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices and advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts.

  • Responses to Technical Field Questions (Action Requests).
  • Support Engineering/Quality Investigations (Deficiency Reports).
  • Technical Maintenance Manual Data Creation/Updates/Interpretation.
  • Author technical presentations
  • Field Information Notices as required.
  • Maintenance Awareness Briefings.
  • Engineering Changes /Design Reviews for Sustainment Impacts.
  • Field Implementation / Retrofit Planning / Service Test Letters.
  • Support Technical Conferences as needed.
  • Provide direct, in-person support for a variety of significant field efforts.
  • Represent the department by being generally capable of adding value in solving customer support issues, not directly related to the field assignment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% mostly to our F135 Field Sites.
