About The Position

Responsible for performing full and intermediate-level maintenance, including repair, inspection, and troubleshooting of engines, modules, and related components. Duties also include routine inspection and maintenance of support equipment, providing local technical support for investigations and process-improvement initiatives, managing process-related waste in compliance with approved work instructions, and executing additional tasks aligned with overall business objectives. Candidate must also be able to work atop maintenance platforms, ascend/descend maintenance stands, lift 25 pounds to a height of 4 feet, and be able to position them self to perform maintenance/inspections underneath engine rails and inside the engine exhaust duct. Accurately input and maintain detailed records of all maintenance performed in local systems and documents ensuring compliance with all technical instructions and quality standards. Must be detail oriented. Individual must be agile and able to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment with changing priorities. Must be able to work in a team environment, must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, but also can work independently when required. Maintain a clean and safe work environment (shop housekeeping). Ability to obtain, maintain and stay proficient with all training, certifications, and qualifications. Utilize non-powered Aerospace Ground Equipment Have a proven ability to use and interpret electronic technical manuals. Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with all quality standards. Participate in programs such as FOD (Foreign Object Damage) prevention and HAZMAT handling. This job is for 1st shift, but candidate must be willing to work any shift and participate in shift rotations if required.

Requirements

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • The candidate must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Must have experience in the disassembly, inspection, and assembly of gas turbine engines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to work atop maintenance platforms.
  • Ability to ascend/descend maintenance stands.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds to a height of 4 feet.
  • Ability to position them self to perform maintenance/inspections underneath engine rails and inside the engine exhaust duct.
  • Must be detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of Jet Engine experience in tear-down, build-up, and inspections.
  • 2 years of F119-PW-100 experience or F135 (5th generation engine).
  • Familiarity with AFI 21-101, 2-1-111, and 00-20-1/2/3.
  • Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • Borescope experience.
  • Familiarity with flight line maintenance.
  • Candidate must be able to use computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, and Word).
