About The Position

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all front-of-house F&B operations across the property, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and alignment with The Standard’s service culture. This role drives operational excellence through strategic leadership, team development, and hands-on management of daily service. The F&B Manager balances service, people, and performance, elevating quality while maintaining efficiency, profitability, and a strong, engaged team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a Food & Beverage leadership role required.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant and bar operations in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to read, understand, and implement operational procedures and financial reports.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of service standards, food safety, and sanitation practices.
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, and integrity.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods during service.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Ability to work in environments with hot and cold temperature variations.
  • Ability to safely handle equipment and work around kitchen and bar operations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, manage, and oversee all Food & Beverage outlets to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality operations.
  • Lead daily service with a hands-on approach, maintaining visibility on the floor and supporting teams in real time.
  • Ensure all service standards, sequences, and SOPs are consistently executed.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of all roles within the department and provide support where needed.
  • Assign responsibilities to team members and follow up to ensure completion and accountability.
  • Maximize revenue, profitability, and cost control across all outlets.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including labor, food cost, and operational expenses.
  • Participate in monthly performance reviews, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, drive sales, and enhance the guest experience.
  • Lead, coach, and develop management and hourly team members to achieve performance goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new hires in alignment with company standards.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
  • Lead by example, inspiring the team through professionalism, accountability, and energy.
  • Ensure a consistently high level of service that aligns with The Standard’s brand and guest expectations.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Continuously elevate the quality of food, beverage, and service offerings.
  • Maintain awareness of guest satisfaction scores and implement strategies to improve results.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are followed in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Verify all team members maintain required certifications (food handler, alcohol service, etc.).
  • Maintain adherence to uniform, grooming, and hygiene standards.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with OSHA and safety protocols.
  • Maintain strong communication and partnership with all hotel departments.
  • Effectively communicate updates, expectations, and operational changes to the team.
  • Collaborate with the Director and Assistant Director of F&B on initiatives, programming, and operational improvements.
  • Support hotel-wide goals, events, and initiatives.
