F&B Cashier & Counter Person
About The Position
This role involves a variety of duties related to cafeteria-style dining. Individuals hired for these positions will be cross-trained to work as either a Counter Person or a Cashier, depending on the needs of the operation. Cashiers are responsible for accurately accounting for all transactions, collections, and disbursements, including receiving cash, verifying drawer accuracy, greeting guests, ringing up items, ensuring correct pricing, collecting payments, and making change. They must also maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Counter Persons will greet and serve guests, answer questions about the menu, ingredients, and prices, stock supplies, clean counters and floors, and clear and sanitize tables. Both roles require maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.
Requirements
- Weekends and holidays required
- Able to be on your feet for the entire shift
- Flexibility and willingness to perform various duties
- Requires the ability to maintain a fast pace
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
- Uniform and dress code required

Responsibilities
- Ensuring an accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements
- Receiving cash at the beginning of work shift and counting the money in the drawer to verify accuracy
- Greeting each guest as they go through the line
- Itemizing and ringing food and beverage items into register
- Ensuring that the correct price is charged for all items
- Collecting payment from all food service guests, making accurate change for the transaction
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work place for guests and co-workers always
- Greeting and serving guests
- Answering any questions guests may have regarding menu, ingredients, price, etc.
- Stocking cups, condiments and other food and non-food items
- Cleaning counters and floors as needed
- Clearing and sanitizing tables in dining areas as customers come and go
