About The Position

The F&B Assistant Manager in Training position is designed to develop future leaders within the food and beverage department by providing comprehensive hands-on experience and mentorship. The primary goal is to equip the trainee with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage daily operations, ensure exceptional guest service, and maintain high standards of quality and safety. This role involves learning to oversee staff performance, manage inventory, and coordinate with other departments to optimize operational efficiency. The trainee will also gain experience in budgeting, cost control, and implementing marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth. Ultimately, this position prepares the individual to step into an Assistant Manager role with confidence and a thorough understanding of all facets of food and beverage management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in hospitality management is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in food and beverage service or hospitality industry.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and customer service principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a food and beverage environment.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
  • Bilingual abilities or additional language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising daily food and beverage operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Support the management team in training, coaching, and motivating staff to deliver excellent customer experiences.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships to maintain stock and control costs.
  • Help enforce compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards across all food and beverage outlets.
  • Participate in scheduling, payroll management, and administrative tasks to support operational needs.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop promotions and events that enhance guest engagement.
  • Analyze financial reports and assist in budgeting to optimize profitability and reduce waste.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
