About The Position

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Ground Support Equipment for a Systems Engineer supporting the F-35 program. On our Sustainment Engineering team, you can help us take on the world’s most important and complex challenges by providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals and interact with outside customers. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking. Position Responsibilities performed under general supervision to complete milestones associated with specific projects: Supports risk assessments and risk mitigation plans, including balancing technical risks between systems. Manages key aspects of the technical implementation of the program, by collaborating across a number of disciplines to ensure that technical parameters, interfaces, and assumptions are consistent across disciplines, and interfacing with stakeholders (engineering, technical staff, client) to ensure program goals are met. Orchestrates cross-functional collaboration opportunities to ensure best practices and domain knowledge are shared. Performs hardware/software troubleshooting. Supports and provides guidance on operations and maintenance, including definition and communication of complete test, integration, and checkout plans for new capabilities. Works continuously and cross-functionally to analyze, test and iterate technical requirements, user stories and operations concepts. Provides technical direction and clarification of requirements within the DevSecOps team. This position requires a candidate who is a U.S. Citizen and has the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. The role is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or training in a related discipline.
  • 3 or more years of experience developing system requirements, system interfaces, system configuration and techniques
  • 3 or more years of experience performing integration
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to work remotely
  • The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) or Aircraft Armament Equipment (AAE) knowledge
  • Verify authorized AME/AAE Configurations are inputted by Provisioning into system of record correctly
  • Experience with Team Center (PDM/LDM) and Advanced Technical Logistics Applications System (ATLAS)
  • Familiar with stakeholders and teams, to understand issues surrounding implementation of Action Requests (ARs), prioritizing, conducting engineering investigations, determining solutions, and providing resolution
  • Able to perform extraction, mapping, manipulation, and translation of data

  • Provides technical direction and clarification of requirements within the DevSecOps team.
  • Supports the AR team to address specific customer requests for the AME team, of which the AR analysis team will be composed of various members of the Support Equipment engineering team.
