About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as an F35 Field Service Engineer (FSE). The qualified candidate will provide Engineering support, maintenance, debug, Hardware/Software integration and general System Integration Lab (SIL) support on-site in Manchester and Nashua, NH. The primary responsibility of this full-time role will be to support Engineering on HW/SW development, testing, and troubleshooting of Electronic Warfare Systems. A key aspect of this role involves becoming a subject matter expert (SME) on our Electronic Support Measure (ESM) and Countermeasures test benches, RF Stimulators and automated test lines – supporting their operation, maintenance, and ongoing improvements. The Engineer will also provide crucial day-to-day support for the SIL, ensuring its smooth operation and assisting development teams using the lab's resources. Expect to spend time both in the lab and travelling to customer sites to resolve issues, perform upgrades, and provide training. The Field Service Engineer must display strong interpersonal communication skills, work as a member of a dedicated team, build technical relationships with the F35 community, Government customer, contractors, BAE Systems Program Management as well as representing the company in a professional manner. Possess a strong ability to articulate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner. Successful candidate must be proficient using electronics laboratory Test Equipment (O'Scope, Analyzer, etc) associated with EW fault diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair. Possess comprehensive EW or RF troubleshooting abilities and experience. Must be able to read/understand aircraft wiring diagrams, technical manuals, schematics and follow Automated Test Equipment lab procedures. Although this is a full time, on-site role, the engineer will be required to support additional F35 Program requirements, as directed by Engineering and Program Management, with flexibility to travel up to 25% (CONUS/OCONUS).

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance is required
  • Strong understanding/Experience in Airborne EW Systems (LRU/LRM/SRU)
  • Understanding of DoD Aircraft MX procedures and operational environments
  • Fluent in Wiring diagrams (Aircraft, LRU, LRM, SRU), engineering documentation, requirements
  • Knowledge of EW theory and practice (ESM, ECM)
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and recommend solutions
  • Experience in supporting engineering labs through development and replicating field issues
  • Work independently to meet strict deadlines
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to support field sites with short notice
  • Ability to obtain Special Access Program Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Current/previous SAP access and clearance
  • Strong understanding and use of Systems Engineering processes and procedures
  • Strong understanding and use of F35 Electronic Warfare Systems
  • Experience with Electronic Support Measure (ESM) and Countermeasure systems testing and troubleshooting
  • Experience with RF Stimulator operation and maintenance
  • In-depth knowledge in Air Force maintenance methodologies that support war-fighter operations
  • Experience with automated test equipment and test scripting
