About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F-22 Structures Mechanic to assist our F-22 team at Langley Air Force Base (AFB), Virginia. In this role you will be responsible for performing maintenance repair and upgrades on F-22 systems and structures. You will utilize aircraft technical orders, publications, blueprints, and drawings to perform a variety of maintenance actions on aircraft systems and sub systems including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engines.

Requirements

3+ years aircraft maintenance experience/aircraft structural repair
3+ years of experience with aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair
3+ years of experience in precision drilling
Must be willing to work variable shifts
3+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Experience maintaining and troubleshooting aircraft avionics systems
Experience drilling, cutting, and fabricating aircraft structural components
Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.
Experience with metal tubing and fittings to include swaging applications

Responsibilities

Maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.
Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting user documentation such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.
Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.
Working knowledge of technical publications
Proper use and understanding of PPE to include eyes, ears, foot, and head.
