About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking an experienced F-16 Test Engineer to assist the F-16 OFP CTF at Eglin AFB, Florida. The engineer will work within an integrated product team developing and testing new radar, datalink, and advanced weapons combat capabilities for the F-16. The role supports test engineers and test aircrew in planning, executing, and reporting complex test missions. The position includes flight-test planning, execution, and analysis; data collection and analysis; troubleshooting technical issues; supporting aircraft modifications and upgrades; and preparing detailed reports. The engineer will also travel to offsite locations to support early integrated system development, refine testing procedures with vendors, and contribute to Combat Air Forces systems knowledge. The schedule is 40 hours per week, with approximately 20% travel.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
A technical bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering; additional experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
At least 3 years of test experience with fighter systems (primary) and/or fighter tactical datalinks (secondary).
Working knowledge of Ethernet standards and MIL-STD-1553 interfaces.
Understanding of Windows-based personal computers and Microsoft Office software.
Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
Ability to contribute to a team and independently take responsibility for identifying, organizing, coordinating, and executing assigned tasks.
Active Secret clearance obtained within the past 5 years and ability to maintain the clearance throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
Flight-test experience involving aircraft systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering.
10 or more years of test experience with fighter systems and/or fighter tactical datalinks.
Experience with data-analysis tools.
Radar design or testing experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct flight-test planning, execution, and analysis for F-16 aircraft.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement test plans and procedures.
Collect and analyze data during flight tests, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to enhance aircraft performance.
Work with engineers and technicians to develop and implement F-16 modifications and upgrades.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation of flight-test results and findings.
Travel to offsite locations to support early integrated system development, refine testing procedures with vendors, and contribute to Combat Air Forces systems knowledge.
Support fellow test engineers and test aircrew in planning, executing, and reporting complex test missions.
