About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Defense, Space & Security organization is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer (Level 4) to join its team in Berkeley, Missouri. F-15 Mission Systems designs, develops, and tests F-15 avionics and mission software, including weapons, sensors, navigation, radios, displays, and mission processing systems.

The F-15 Mission Systems Solution Management Engineer provides solution-level leadership to teams across multiple skill areas and works with program management, leadership, customers, subject matter experts, and engineering teams throughout the F-15’s development, fielding, and operational lifecycle. The role requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time, domestically and/or internationally, depending on business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. A clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active.
• Meet the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.
• Meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person, as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62.

Nice To Haves

• 9 or more years of work-related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 7 or more years with a master’s degree, or 4 or more years with a Ph.D.
• 5 or more years of experience in Mission Systems.
• 3 or more years of experience in an Agile Lead role.
• 1 or more years of experience with proposal estimation.
• 1 or more years of experience with Earned Value Management.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, ClearQuest, Git, and DOORS.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience briefing senior leadership or customers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Mission Systems interface to the assigned F-15 Program.
• Collaborate across Mission Systems functions to ensure program commitments are met.
• Coordinate with Solution Managers and Business Owners to balance Agile Release Train capacity allocation across F-15 domestic and international programs.
• Brief Mission Systems execution status to Business Owners, including senior engineering management and program management.
• Use performance metrics to manage project execution.
• Facilitate engineering proposal efforts across Mission Systems teams.
