About The Position

The F-15QA Training Services Program is looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented Deputy Lead Simulator Technician to augment our team based in Al Udeid AB, Qatar. This exciting opportunity will have you working alongside a highly experienced team to support full flight simulation and maintenance simulation using multiple unique training devices while supporting our training staff and keeping all training equipment functioning to ensure mission effective, complaint, and most importantly safe training conditions and operations. This is a Long-Term Assignment to Al Udeid AB, Qatar for at least 16 months and up to five years bearing new contractual approval. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in aircraft simulator training device maintenance and the operating systems, visual imagery, and display systems associated with flight simulators/training devices; or 5+ years of aircraft avionics component maintenance and repair
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team to repair/test, install, upgrade and assist in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team
  • Experience working in the Middle East and speaking with international customers/end users
  • Understanding of Windows operating systems and computing networks
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the F‐15QA Full Mission Trainers and Integrated Virtual Maintenance Trainers with associated visual and computer systems to support flight and maintenance training
  • Perform complex inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying and advising on pre-operations, post-operations and electronic, electrical, and mechanical component handling of training devices as required
  • Assist with repairs and tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software
  • Perform logistical, administrative, and other collateral duties as necessary to maintain the training devices
  • Assist engineers in troubleshooting systems and configuring support equipment
  • Assists instructors/aircrews during scheduled training missions, installations and future upgrades
  • Will work as the deputy lead sim tech; supporting process and procedure documentation for performance reviews, calibration updates, and platform metrics
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks when under pressure, and to resolve competing demands on time to deliver results without compromising technical or program integrity
  • Work under no supervision
