About The Position

Dakota Eye Institute is seeking an enthusiastic Eyewear Stylist/Optician to help patients improve their vision and confidence through optical care. The role combines customer service, sales, technical skills, and patient education. The Eyewear Stylist helps patients choose eyewear suited to their lifestyle, vision needs, and personal style, and supports an exceptional patient experience while contributing to an efficient, patient-focused optical department.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong communication and computer skills.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability and willingness to assist patients with mobility needs.

Responsibilities

Help patients select frames and lenses suited to their lifestyle, vision needs, and personal style.
Educate patients about eyewear options and lens technology.
Measure, fit, dispense, adjust, and repair eyewear.
Verify prescriptions and ensure quality standards are met.
Troubleshoot eyewear concerns and provide customer support.
Accurately process orders, insurance information, and payments.
Collaborate with providers and team members to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Support a successful, efficient, and patient-focused optical department.
