About The Position
Dakota Eye Institute is seeking an Eyewear Stylist/Optician to provide optical care and support a positive, patient-focused experience. The role combines customer service, sales, technical skills, and patient education, helping patients choose eyewear solutions that meet their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style. The stylist works with providers and team members to support an efficient optical department and help patients improve their vision and confidence. The position is full-time at the Bismarck North Clinic in Bismarck, North Dakota, with a day shift. The stated hourly salary range is $17.00–$25.50. Dakota Eye Institute is a multi-specialty eye care practice providing comprehensive services, from routine vision exams and contact lens care to advanced surgical procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability and willingness to assist patients with mobility needs.

Responsibilities
- Help patients select frames and lenses suited to their lifestyle, vision needs, and personal style.
- Educate patients about eyewear options and lens technology.
- Measure, fit, dispense, adjust, and repair eyewear.
- Verify prescriptions and ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot eyewear concerns and provide customer support.
- Process orders, insurance information, and payments accurately.
- Collaborate with providers and team members to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
- Support a successful, efficient, and patient-focused optical department.
- Assist patients with mobility needs.
