About The Position

The Extrusion Technician is responsible for meeting the extrusion production schedule and producing products that meet established quality standards and specifications. The role involves setting up, monitoring, and operating silicone extrusion equipment; interpreting diagrams, requirements, and blueprints to configure machines and evaluate products; and documenting usage, productivity, supplies, and problems. The technician also assists with daily manufacturing operations at the facility and upholds Xeridiem’s vision and core values. Other duties may be assigned. The position works under immediate supervision, and its primary functions generally do not require independent judgment. Work involves moderate physical activity, with most time spent standing and working on a manufacturing line. Protective clothing is required, and the position requires flexible hours and the ability to work around chemicals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in manufacturing.
• Ability to problem-solve, identify errors and deficiencies, and conduct research with general guidance.
• Ability to apply knowledge to job functions using established guidelines and instructions.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Proficient communication skills.
• Ability to understand and comply with company safety and quality standards.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work flexible hours and around chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and operate silicone extrusion equipment, troubleshooting to meet output goals.
• Interpret diagrams, requirements, and blueprints to set up machines and evaluate products.
• Document usage, productivity, supply information, and problems.
• Assist with daily manufacturing operations in the manufacturing facility.
• Uphold Xeridiem’s vision and core values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Understand and comply with SPG and DuPont safety policies and procedures.
