About The Position

This position follows established quality guidelines to produce a product that meets criteria. The Extrusion Technician C is responsible for supporting and following safety rules and regulations, and for the safe operation of equipment in their respective areas. They must attend monthly safety training and closely monitor all film for conformance to specifications, ensuring quality issues are resolved and communicated quickly and effectively to minimize negative impact. This role also involves supporting work instructions, actively participating in corrective actions, and working towards achieving plant targets and goals. Accurate completion of paperwork, including production tickets and inspection logs, is essential. The technician must be able to read production orders and ensure all materials meet requirements. Familiarity with quality defects, hold procedures, and troubleshooting techniques for the entire line is expected. The role also includes assisting the shift lead and production coordinators with various tasks such as line start-up, chill roll cleaning, screen changes, die cleaning, and housekeeping.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Up to 50 lb. lifting maximum
  • P.C knowledge
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Consistent, dependable attendance

  • Must wear steel toe shoes and appropriate PPE on production floor at all times

Responsibilities

  • Support and follow Safety Rule and Regulation.
  • Operate equipment safely in respective areas.
  • Attend Monthly Safety Training.
  • Follow established quality guidelines to produce a product that meets criteria.
  • Closely monitor all film for conformance to specifications.
  • Ensure quality issues are resolved and communicated quickly and effectively to minimize negative impact.
  • Support and follow work instructions provided in Level 3 documents on ISO server.
  • Actively support line Operations Coordinators and shift lead as needed.
  • Perform other duties deemed necessary by Operation Coordinator.
  • Actively participate in corrective actions for film non conformities, equipment abnormals, and material defects.
  • Fully support and work toward achieving plant targets and goals.
  • Ensure paperwork is filled out properly (Production ticket, timeline, stretch film inspection log, and SOC’s).
  • Read production orders (film type, gauge, width, footage, packing spec.) and ensure all materials and supplies meet requirements.
  • Support and follow housekeeping requirements.
  • Understand quality defects for machine and hand film.
  • Understand and follow hold procedure.
  • Familiar with troubleshooting techniques for entire line.
