Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Three to five years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Flexibility to accommodate work schedule as needed based on business conditions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent computer skills including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, experience with basic manufacturing equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in management/technology is preferred
  • Direct working knowledge of operations and warehouse management (preferred)
  • Experience with MRP/ERP and MS D365 system preferred

Responsibilities

  • Guarantee the on-time delivery of the finished cable assembly products which meet all required standards and specifications of planned production.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of hourly employees
  • Understand, comply, and enforce OSHA, Safety and PPE requirements
  • Ensure that all employees know and adhere to safety requirements for all areas, follow standardized work instructions and perform process checks/inspections
  • Monitor and assess employee performance and appraisals
  • Assist in interview process for new employees
  • Train and counsel production employees
  • Document employee issues and utilize progressive corrective action when warranted
  • Confer with management and hourly workers to resolve worker issues
  • Read work orders, schedules, and other records / reports to determine production requirements
  • Assign employees to equipment to maximize production
  • Identify and correct machine malfunction and/or notify maintenance of major issues
  • Identify, contain, and respond to quality issues via appropriate procedures
  • Identify and locate materials, direct/deliver to production areas as needed
  • Provide daily updates to production schedule and/or customer service
  • Provide smooth transfer of operations from shift to shift
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects with other departments
