About The Position

Hampel Corporation is a growing thermoforming manufacturer with over 50 years of experience. They create innovative solutions for various markets including agriculture, industrial, sanitation, and recreation. Hampel is seeking Extrusion Stackers to join their Extrusion team. The role involves stacking and packaging extruded sheet, assisting the Extrusion Tech and Operator, and performing production activities. The Extrusion Stacker will communicate quality issues, report malfunctions, and ensure the production of quality sheet. This is a full-time, hourly position reporting to the Extrusion Tech, with final approval by the Shift Team Lead.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Knowledge in plastics and extrusion preferred.
• Ability to use and read calipers, tape measure, micrometer and velocity gauge.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload or stack materials or extruded sheet.
• Collect and process edge trim as required.
• Help start-up line.
• Assist Extrusion Tech and Operator as necessary.
• Verify packaging is in compliance with product specifications.
• Maintain good packing of the sheet, legible packaging labels, and neat records.
• Ensure that sheets are properly labeled as to thickness, size and color.
• Monitor the sheet appearance to ensure highest quality, to include an optical inspection, masking application, saw cut, sheet dimension, stacking and package appearance.
• Identify defective products in the extrusion process and follow the QC procedure for non-conforming sheets.
• Perform all quality inspections with accuracy.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with all department employees.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times.
• Use all required safety supplies and procedures at all items.
