About The Position

Apogee Architectural Metals, a segment of Apogee Enterprises, Inc., is seeking an Extrusion Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift. Apogee, founded in 1949, is a growing company with annual revenues approaching $1.3 billion, providing distinctive metal and glass solutions for commercial buildings and glass/acrylic solutions for picture framing and display. Architectural Metals offers integrated capabilities including design, engineering, extrusion, finishing, fabrication, and assembly. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing experience ready for leadership or currently leading a small team, seeking more ownership. The supervisor will oversee approximately 20 team members, ensure production continuity, support safety and quality, and collaborate with Warehouse and the 1st shift Extrusion Manager to enhance output and efficiency. Training will be provided on 1st shift for 4 to 6 weeks before transitioning to the 3rd shift.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Prior Team Lead or leadership experience in a production environment
  • Ability to problem solve when the process is not clear and follow work instructions
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and professionalism
  • Basic computer skills
  • High school diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort around machinery, maintenance, or hydraulics
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Degree or technical training

Responsibilities

  • Lead day to day operations for the Extrusion department on 3rd shift
  • Support safety, quality, and production goals on the floor
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as they come up
  • Partner closely with Warehouse, Assembly, CI, and Safety
  • Monitor schedules and adjust resources to keep production on track
  • Coach and support frontline employees and team leads
  • Work with raw aluminum materials and extrusion equipment
