About The Position

This position is responsible for operating an extrusion press, ensuring the correct dies and temperatures are used, and monitoring the quality of the extruded products. The role involves logging furnace operations, checking dimensions with measuring tools, stretching extrusions as needed, and entering production data. The operator must be punctual, have excellent attendance, and be able to commute to multiple company facilities if required.

Requirements

• Punctuality and excellent attendance.
• Physical ability to perform duties assigned including but not limited to extensive standing/walking, extensive bending/kneeling/squatting, continuous lifting up to 75 pounds from floor to average waist-high platform, use of various hand tools and instruments, and extreme temperatures.
• Working experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Commute to multiple company facilities and personnel, as needed.
• Engages in self-learning keeping up with industry trends, safety, and company information, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Revise schedule and print work orders.
• Verify that dies and temperature(s) used in the die oven are correct.
• Operates press and log furnace.
• Check the dimensions of extrusions with measuring tools and document findings.
• Stretches extrusions, as needed.
• Enters production data in Epics.
