About The Position

As an Extrusion Operator at ACT Entertainment's Leominster, MA facility, you will be responsible for setting up, running, and fine-tuning the machines that shape thermoplastic over the cabled core. This role requires a close eye on quality, speed, and safety, with a focus on precision and detail-driven work where your focus directly shapes the product.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, plus 1-3 months of related experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Basic computer and math skills.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting instincts.
Comfort working as part of a team and on independent projects.
Good communication skills and patience.
Flexibility to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

Prior hands-on or on-the-job experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on the extrusion machine, including cleaning and lubricating.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Set up the extrusion machine according to shop paperwork specifications.
Verify machine setup after it is running.
Monitor the extrusion process and make real-time adjustments for quality and efficiency.
Conduct quality and settings checks at the start of the shift and regularly throughout the day.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues.
Report issues to the supervisor, especially those related to quality standards.
Maintain accurate production records, including product counts, machine settings, and maintenance activity.
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
Participate in training on machine, printer, and paperwork processes.
Assist with other related duties as assigned.
