About The Position

Approximately 33,000 employees generated CHF 11.20 billion in sales in 2025. This role is for a Night Shift Extrusion Operator, working from 10pm to 6:30am, with a starting pay of $22.01. The operator will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the hopper area, ensuring correct material loading into extruders as per work orders. This includes reclaiming and grinding materials from production start-ups and off-spec production for reuse, and collaborating with operators on regrind percentages. The position requires completing OSHA-approved forklift certification and adhering to safety guidelines. Documentation of material usage and production activities will be done using software tools like MII, SAP, and Access. Routine cleaning and maintenance of grinders, accurate labeling and storage of ground materials, and maintaining a clean work environment are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret fractions; proficient in using a tape measure.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, with the ability to learn other software as needed.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, squatting, lifting, walking, and bending.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience operating a forklift is beneficial, but training may be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor the hopper area, ensuring that extruders are loading the correct materials as specified in work orders.
  • Reclaim and grind materials from production start-ups and off-spec production for reuse.
  • Collaborate with operators to determine appropriate regrind percentages and availability.
  • Successfully complete OSHA-approved forklift certification and adhere to all safety guidelines for forklift operation.
  • Use software tools such as MII, SAP, and Access to accurately document and track material usage and production activities.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of grinders, ensuring materials to be ground are correctly identified.
  • Accurately label and store ground materials for future use in designated storage areas.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly cleaning equipment, extruders, storage areas, and warehouse aisles.
