Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of 6 months-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of Safety procedures
  • Critical decision-making ability.
  • Flexibility and adaptability and the ability to focus and pay attention to detail.
  • Must be able to complete the following physical requirements: Sitting, standing, walking, Lifting and carrying: 0-49 lbs., Pushing pulling, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, Reaching, grasping, repetitive motions

Responsibilities

  • Inputting the appropriate parameters to maximize efficiency of the extruder.
  • Following the assigned production schedule.
  • Keeping the area(s) and machine(s) clean and free of debris.
  • Troubleshooting the extruder system for zone temperatures, vacuum, melt filtration, extruder speed and pelletizing parameters, pellet output quality and rate, and refresher system operation.
  • Filing of work requests for repairs or preventive maintenance.
  • Conducting melt filter screen changes to include the cleaning of all parts involved. By utilization of brass brushes and an incinerator oven followed by water pressure cleaning or sand blasting.
  • Coordinate with Quality Associate (QA) to maintain product quality and avoid off-spec cross-contamination in the silos.
  • Participate and support, for every employee, a safe work environment by following all facility safety and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Participate and support, for every employee, and visitor; the adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
