The primary focus is to build a quality product by following processes to meet all production goals. This role requires understanding and adhering to safety policies and practices, quality standards, and manufacturing process requirements. The operator will build product by following all certified processes, completing assigned work, and meeting manufacturing goals. A basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles is expected. The role involves working collaboratively with team members, both within the team and cross-functionally, and being willing to flex and rotate as necessary. Accurate record-keeping, including Shop Floor Paperwork (SFP), training Records System (TRS), Product Data Management (PDM), Systems Application & Products (SAP), and Process Equipment Optimization (PEO), is required under direction. The position requires moderate mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn equipment setup to meet process specifications. The operator will interpret quality specifications via SPC and understand tight tolerancing through the use of various measurement equipment, all under direction. Assistance and learning are expected to drive metrics by actively participating in Focused Factory cross-functional teams. Understanding and following all BSC and site-specific policies and procedures is mandatory, as is attending and passing all core required training. A basic understanding of SAP functions and basic extrusion troubleshooting methods is also required. The operator will learn to plan and prepare equipment to meet customer requirements and provide Continuous Improvement (CI) suggestions.
