Extrusion Machine Operator 3rd Shift
About The Position
We are seeking a 3rd SHIFT Extrusion Machine Operator I to support day-to-day production operations within our manufacturing facilities. This entry-level role exists to ensure safe, consistent, and efficient operation of assigned equipment in support of production schedules and quality standards. The Machine Operator I will operate machinery, monitor processes, inspect parts, and follow standardized work instructions under the guidance of experienced operators and supervisors. This is a foundational manufacturing role for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in producing high-quality work and contributing to a strong team environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required
- Willingness to work scheduled shifts, including nights or weekends if needed
Nice To Haves
- 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining or production processes
- Ability to follow written instructions and interpret basic production documents
- Comfortable using basic measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Responsibilities
- Operate assigned production equipment in accordance with work instructions and safety procedures
- Load and unload materials and components as required
- Monitor machine performance and identify basic operational issues
- Perform basic in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers or gauges
- Follow documented production processes and maintain quality standards
- Accurately complete production paperwork and maintain lot traceability
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards
- Escalate equipment malfunctions or quality concerns to supervisors or maintenance
- Support cross-training efforts and assist with additional tasks as assigned
- Adhere to all safety policies and regulatory requirements
